Bag Review: Longchamp S/S 2011

Here's a post on bags, finally! I have been so caught up with Paris Fashion Week fever that I have rarely been posting about bags. Sorry about that, but it has really been so surreal to be here. *pinches myself* Although I would love to say I'd like to attend Fashion Week each season in major cities, I would also like to tell you peeps that it's no joke to attend almost each show-- it is VERY tiring and it almost really becomes a "chore"-- it's a serious JOB! Yes, yes, I know the glamour factor is there, but after day 2, it just wears off *I'm serious when I say this!* because you will be sooooooo tired and bogged down (especially if you are lugging around a huge bag *ummm I do* and wearing high heels *umm guilty*). At the end of the day after the shows, you just want to go home and put your feet up and wallow around the apartment in your PJs (sooo tempting)!!!

So you see, yesterday was the last day of fashion week and I just threw in the towel and decided to wear my flat rubber- soled boots which were so comfortable (and even then my feet realllllly hurt by the end of the night).

Anyway, after my last show, I already went straight to Longchamp's private Spring/ Summer 2011 collection preview (Bryan had to attend the Miu Miu show! *dies of envy!! Woooaaahhh*).

Here are some of my bag picks from the upcoming Spring collection:

Darshan collection- also comes in yellow
I'd love that clear bag to use for the beach!!

Kate Moss x Longchamp. I LOVE this bag- comes in beige too
I love the concept of a nice, polished leather "Market tote" for the weekend and I believe this fits the bill. I especially love the beige version of this bag. It is really so chic and is perfect to carry if you are bringing some magazines or periodicals in your bag. One of the downsides though is the very wide opening of the bag, but you can easily compensate for that by getting yourself a nice, zipped bag organizer.

Le Pliage Arbre de Vie
This Le Pliage tote has embroidered birds on the front of the bag. I think this bag is really pretty and  it spells summer with its colors! This will be an instant hit in the Philippine market, just like the le pliage bags from the Darshan collection.

Rickshaw
This bag looks like it was inspired by travels to India, with a bag charm of the Taj Mahal. Thick woven canvas fabric was used for the bag, and the straps are adjustable. Perfect weekend bag!!

Gatsby
I know some of you might question why I like this bag, but I actually do and very much too! It is very, very feminine and is made from pressed calfskin leather to give it that exotic feel. For sure this bag won't be costing an arm and a leg, so it will be a very good piece to add to your collection.

One of the best things about this collection is Longchamp's leather bags-- they are seriously becoming really, really nice. And you don't even have to pay serious $$$ for them because they are not too expensive! I love it!!

Did you peeps like anything you see? :)
