MFW: Tod's Miky, You so Fiiiine!

Time for some serious bag love and today it's Tod's! My Milan trip would not be complete without a visit to Villa Necchi at Via Mozart, home to the Tod's presentation each year.

For Fall 2012- 13, Tod's welcomes back the Miky bag! Do you still remember the old version? :) The new one has been updated, and is without a doubt more versatile! And wow on the color combination I saw. It's the perfect work- to -dinner with friends bag!

I think the bag is gorgeous! It's like a fusion of the Tod's D bag, made more versatile, and yes, bi- colored! A major plus which earns high marks from me is the thoughtful decision of adding a thicker band to the shoulder strap. I really, really like this color combination, the leather, and the bag style. It works both as an unstructured but boxy bag, and also works as a tote! You can count on me to lust for this bag come Autumn 2012!

Another style worth talking about:

These totes come in different sizes and are multi- functional. There may be plenty of totes out there of late, but there are only very, very few that have topnotch quality. Since the tote works as an everyday bag, you might as well make the investment of getting a really good one. I suggest the Tod's tote. 

So now's the time to start saving for either bags above. If you don't fancy any of those styles, you can always invest in a Tod's D bag. Haha and if you're one of the Ecclestone sisters, you might as well go for broke and get the Tod's D bag in ombre crocodile.

MFW: Versus Rocks! AW2012-13

I've worn Versus back in college. I've been a fan of the brand that early on in my life, so to sit in on the show was really a priceless moment. Surreal and priceless. Pretty much the same way I felt about Versace last year when I first attended the show. Versus did not disappoint at all. I loved the silhouette of the dresses, and my my, the bling dresses... those really rock!

You need to have very thin thighs for this.

It's so sexy. The cut of the dress is very Versace FW 2012-13

Heart shaped neckline-- almost! Very flattering!

I love this dress. Everything about it

 I love the different play of textures here. Same color but different textures.

 Really liking the neckline- shoulders of this dress. A lot!

Every girl needs a bling dress. I think one in this color might be just right :)

Lace and prints= the height of sexy.

Print on print-- printed dress with a printed clutch. I never knew it would work, but in this case, matchy- matchy works. Very well too!

Stringing them along :) The dress is incredibly delicate, I can imagine...

Cuff clutch. Dilemma: Holding that cocktail glass and holding the bag. Problem solved with this clutch!

Beautifully delicate lace dress!

 This structured jacket is incredible. Having it in this color is also a big plus factor on why it's gorgeous!

And the yellows... I have to be completely honest here-- I was not a fan of tie- dyed clothing, but seeing this dress with delicate lace on her made me change my mind. Completely! It's a dress worth owning!

Love!!!

Being at the show and seeing the collection is like realizing why I had loved Versus in the first place. There were a good number of pieces in the collection that I could easily see myself wearing. It related well to me, and I would love to own those pieces to jumpstart my FW2012-13 wardrobe. And oh yeah, that cuff clutch? Brilliant! Loved it!

MFW: Roberto Cavalli Bellissima AW2012- 13

More Roberto Cavalli, Fall Winter 2012-13. Last season I was already so bowled over with Cavalli's fusion of bright colors, signature animal prints, and different textures into beautiful silhouettes that ranged from the minis to the maxis. This season I was yet again left with my jaw open in amazement at how the house topped their SS2012 collection. Because Cavalli really nailed it. I was more than impressed. Oh yeah, did I mention Madonna for music and Naomi to close the show? Priceless!

MFW: Baroque Opulence at Dolce & Gabbana, AW2012- 13

The "stage" at Dolce & Gabbana was dramatic. Large chandeliers draped with floral vines hung from the ceilings, lining the runway, and a large roccoco barocco gold gilt mirror and gold gilt chairs sat at the end of it all. It was really grand. And the collection did not disappoint. Each piece was just as grand as the set-up, and more. But what was not lost was the DNA of the brand-- the lace, I knew that almost each piece in the collection made me say "I want that! And that, and that!" I will leave you with some images now as there are so much more I will post in the next entry. I just need to rush now to pack and get ready for the next show!
